Dear Prospective Member:
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of our department. Our Department is entirely volunteer, but the work is rewarding. To join PHVFD please come by our station at 3125 County Line Rd. any Monday night around 7pm to pick up an application or call the station at (276) 629-7677.
Our requirements are to live in our service area, be 18 years old for senior members and 16 years old with parent or guardians signature for Jr. Members. You cannot be a member of another volunteer agency at the time of joining our department.
After application is filled out return to the station on any Monday night, and feel free to visit and ask any questions and meet our members. Once the application is returned with the attached criminal background check completed and signed we summit the background check to Henry County Public Safety. After the background check is returned, we will contact you to set up a meeting with the membership screening committee. Our business meetings are the first Monday night of each month, which we ask you to attend the meeting to have your application presented to the membership and voted on.
We supply your fire gear and have many training opportunities. Participation in work details, training, fire calls are required. Our department was started in 1971 by dedicated people of our community for people of our community. Thank you for helping us continues our goal.
