 The emergency services training center is located at 1024 DuPont Road, Martinsville, Virginia. The property consist of the 7,000 square foot brick structure and numerous props to aid in the training of emergency services personnel in the Henry County area and from around the country. It lies adjacent to the Smith River, making it a good location for various courses requiring water such as water supply and rescue. The center provides office space and serves as primary contact location for the Henry County Department of Public Safety. In addition, it has three classrooms, a kitchen area, a video library, and storage. The center also provides office space to the field coordinator of the Western Virginia EMS Council. |
